Welcome to Patagonia: the land of plenty. This past spring, FlyLords visited the Chubut Province, located in the heart of Argentinian Patagonia, to fish with El Encuentro Fly Fishing. The goal of this trip was to catch Argentina’s big three trout species: brook, brown, and rainbow trout. But not just any fish; they were after trophy-caliber fish of each species. Fish exceeding 20 inches, something only found in Patagonia. Along the way, they explored all that Patagonia had to offer, from skating dries for big brookies to stripping streamers for colored up browns, all while chasing the elusive Triple Crown.
